Breeding Cages # 2
Toucanets & Aracaries

No, we dont use those large doors. We would lose birds daily! Each cage has its own 12" square feed and water door. We use these 8' x 4' x 8' cages for breeding smaller species, Aracaries and Toucanets but you must pay carefull atention to overly agressive males during early breeding season. All nestboxes are placed in the back with a visual barier from the front so the female can fly out of side so the male can calm down. You know how crazy us guys can be....  I trim 4 flght feathers on each wing if the male doesn't calm down so the female has a fighting chance. Cages are double wire on 3 sides so raccons and other preditors cant get to them.
